해외 의료 시장 진출에 대한 관심이 커지면서 그 규모도 점차 늘어갈 것으로 예상되지만 보다 안정적으로 진출하기 위해서는 넘어야 할 산이 많다.

우선 현지 의료 시장 파악은 물론 의사 면허 인정 범위, 시험, 진료 허용 범위, 필요 제출 서류 등 많은 것을 사전에 숙지하고 준비해야 한다. 각 나라의 의료 시장이 상이하기 때문이다.

요즘 활발한 진출을 보이는 나라가 바로 베트남이다. 진입 장벽이 수월하고 호치민의과대학에서 시행하는 영어 시험(필기+인터뷰)만 통과하면 국내 의사 면허도 인정 해주기 때문이다. 아울러 베트남 상류층과 약 10만 명에 달하는 한국 교민을 대상으로 한 수가 역시 비교적 높게 되어있다.
